Here, we will create a string and then replace all substrings matching the regular expression using the replaceAll() method. After that, we will print the result on the console screen.

Program/Source Code:

The source code to demonstrate the replaceAll() method is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to demonstrate the
// replaceAll() method

object Sample {
  def main(args: Array[String]) {
    var str: String = "MAN WAN LAN PAN NETWORK";
    var res: String = "";

    res = str.replaceAll(".AN", "##");
    printf("Result:\n%s\n", res);
  }
}

Output:

Result:
## ## ## ## NETWORK

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. And, we created an object Sample. Here, we defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created a string variable str initialized with "MAN WAN LAN PAN NETWORK". Then we replaced all substrings with "##", matching specified regular expression in the replaceAll() method and assigned the result into res variable, and then printed the result on the console screen.
