Program/Source Code:

The source code to convert the angle measured the degree to radian is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

// Scala program to convert the angle measured
// degree to radian

object Sample{
    def main(args:Array[String]){
        var num:Double = 0;
        var res:Double = 0;

        print("Enter degree: ")
        num=scala.io.StdIn.readDouble()

        res= scala.math.toRadians(num)
        println("Angle in radian: "+res);
    }
}

Output:

Enter degree: 60
Angle in radian: 1.0471975511965976

Explanation:

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. Here, we created an object Sample. We defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created two variables numres that are initialized with 0. Then we read the value of the num variable from the user and then we converted the given number measured in the degree to radian using scala.math.toRadians() function and printed the result on the console screen.
