Program/Source Code:

The source code to trim specified characters from a string using the Trim() function is given below. The given program is compiled and executed successfully.

// Golang program to trim specified characters
// from string using Trim() function

package main

import "fmt"
import "strings"

func main() {
	str := "!!Hello World%%"

	fmt.Printf("%s", strings.Trim(str, "!%"))
}

Output:

Hello World

Explanation:

In the above program, we declare the package main. The main package is used to tell the Go language compiler that the package must be compiled and produced the executable file. Here, we imported the fmt package that includes the files of package fmt then we can use a function related to the fmt package.

In the main() function, we created a string variable str, which is initialized with "!!Hello World%%". After that, we trimmed "!" and "%" characters from the string using strings.Trim() function, and print result on the console screen.
