Scala program to convert the string into uppercase

The source code to convert the string into uppercase is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

    var str: String = "Hello World";

    var res = str.toUpperCase();

    printf("String in lowercase: '%s'\n", res);
  }
}

Output:

String in lowercase: 'HELLO WORLD'

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. And, we created an object Sample. Here, we defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In the main() function, we created a string variable str initialized with "Hello World". Then we converted the string str into uppercase using the toUpperCase() method and assigned the result into the res variable. After that, we printed the result on the console screen.
