Scala program to return a value from a function using the \'return\' statement

The source code to return a value from a function using the return statement is given below. The given program is compiled and executed on the ubuntu 18.04 operating system successfully.

Output:

Addition is: 50

Explanation:

In the above program, we used an object-oriented approach to create the program. We created an object Sample, and we defined main() function. The main() function is the entry point for the program.

In this program, we defined a function addNum() with two integer arguments num1 and num2 and return the result to the calling function.

In the main() function, we called addNum() function with value 20 and 30 and print the result returned by the function addNum() on the console screen.
