a. By 6–8 weeks it is believed that babies are able to follow movements with their eyes. At this age experts belies that their eyesight is developing and their vision extends up to a distance of approximately 30cm. This is one of the reasons that babies are believed to form a strong bond with their mother as they can focus their gaze on them whilst feeding.
