Have your medical records sent ahead to the transplant center. Bring in an updated medication list. Every transplant candidate is expected to be up to date with their preventive care. This would include vaccinations, colonoscopy (if you are over 50 years old), prostatespecific antigen (PSA) for men (over 50 years old), Pap smears for women, and mammograms for women over 40 years old. Start making appointments or talk with your primary care physician about getting your preventive care up to date. Bring someone with you to the evaluation. Bring your questions with you.
