DISCUSSION: Charles Dubost was the first to successfully correct an aortic abdominal aneurysm by resecting the entire aneurysm and replacing it with an aortic homograft. In his paper he presented preoperative as well as postoperative arteriograms demonstrating correction of both the aortic aneurysm and severe stenosis of the left iliac artery.
