Placental Corticotropin releasing hormone increases ACTH & cortisol & causes vasoconstriction of the feto-placental blood vessels.
Estrogen is secreted by the feto-placental unit responsible for the growth of the myometrium & angiogenesis.
Progesterone causes vasodilatation of blood vessels & contraction of uterine smooth muscle.
